Douglas County Film Trail

The producers, directors, film crew, and editing staff for Stranger Things did a remarkable job of set-casting the series. From start to finish, the show seems to be an authentic glimpse directly into the happenings of a sleepy, rural, Indiana town in 1983.

In Season 1, Episode 1, the character Eleven escapes from Hawkins Lab and comes across Benny’s Burgers (Tiffany’s Kitchen). Benny and Eleven sit at a table as Benny watches a starving Eleven eat her food. Since this is a real restaurant, you can actually go there and sit at the same table where Eleven and Benny sat.

Douglas County found its way onto the Netflix screen in several scenes, two of which were the Old City building 48 Pray Street in Douglasville, and the Fair Mart at 7703 US-78 in Winston, GA. The city building on Pray Street is right off Church Street in Downtown Douglasville, and can easily be seen as the police station very early in the first season of Stranger Things.
